  1. Where are you from? What do you do for work? Family?

 

I have grown up most of my life around Atlanta.  I work for an awesome non-profit called BrightPoint for Children!   Shout out to this organization because they help children all around the world by providing educational and basic needs sponsorships.  I have been working with them for five years and I love what I do.    I have been married to my handsome hubby for three years and we have four dogs.  Yes you read that right we are those crazy people with too many animals, but we love them.  This next year will be a fun one for us because we are adopting from China.  It’s a long process, but could not be more exited!

When did you start CPF?

 

I started January of 2015 when my old box merged with CPF.  I am really blessed to have such an awesome box to challenge myself and have fun at so close to my house.

What’s your biggest fitness/health accomplishment since starting CFP?

 

My biggest accomplishment is mentally being stronger than I ever have been before.  I struggle with some health issues and my mind used to be constantly filled with doubts of what I could do.  I have proved some of my doctors wrong with what I can do and that is really fun!  I appreciate that CPF has challenged me to go further than I thought I could in so many different areas and even when I fail that I know I am a little closer to my goal.

What are your future fitness goals?

 

My future fitness goals are to be able to RX more WODs and I even though it might be a long long long way off, a muscle up.

What do you do for fun?

 

I love hiking, skiing, mountain biking, traveling, going concerts, eating carbs, hanging out at my family’s cabin and playing with my dogs.  Pretty much anything outside, I am there with the only exception being when it’s 105 degrees out, like it is right now.  😉

Favorite lift/wod?

My favorite is deadlifting!  I could deadlift all day and be happy as could be!

Least favorite lift/wod?

Assault biking!  Whenever I see that torture device on Wodify it takes every ounce of strength in me to come.  That thing is no joke!

What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start at CFP?

The first thing I would say to get out of your own head.  I am so guilty of this and it holds you back.  So don’t let the limitations that you put on yourself stop you.   The second is not to be afraid to try.  You are in the most supportive box with the very best people who are going to cheer you on.  Whether it is a new skill or a heavier weight, at the risk of sounding like a cheese ball I am going to say just go for it!
