- Where are you from? What do you do for work? Family?
I grew up in Roswell, went to UGA, lived in Buckhead and now I live in Alpharetta. I call it the Georgia circle of life. I work in Alpharetta at a family owned Independent Insurance agency. I’ve been married to my smokin’ hot wife for 3 years.
- When did you start CFP?
- What’s your biggest fitness/health accomplishment since starting CFP?
I back squatted 305 lb last summer which was cool. I was happy to join the 300 club. I probably won’t go much higher because my pants are getting too tight. I could bust out of them at any moment.
- What are your future fitness goals?
I just want to stay healthy, feel good and look good. For my wedding engagement photos my wife and I did the dirty dancing pose where I lifted and held her over my head. I feel like I can probably keep that up until I’m 65. So my goal is to be able to lift and hold my wife over my head for at least another 33 years.
- What do you do for fun?
I love to be active and exercise. Anything on the water is fun. And I like to crush suburban life.
- Favorite lift/workout?
I love any sort of bodyweight exercise. Pull up, dip, T2B, MU, HSPU, etc. It’s the ultimate equalizer.
- Least favorite lift/workout?
Anything assault bike or thruster. I have seen the light too many times. I can’t take the pain.
- What advice would you give to anyone wanting to start at CrossFit Passion?
Just give it a try for at least 1 year. It’s great. The members are great. The coaches are great. The facility is great. The workouts are great. You don’t have to think. You just show up and work. Saturday partner workouts are always fun. So to me the key is giving it a try and sticking with it for a period of time. If you’re consistent, you’ll get results. But it’s like anything in life. You get out what you put in and it takes more than a couple of weeks to reap what you sow. If you don’t like it after a year you’ll likely be fitter than when you started and you’ll probably walk away with a few friends. Not a bad consolation prize.
